I have around 450 days played on my account. I also have all classes at level 100, which will be leveled up throughout Legion eventually.
E. Anything else you would like to mention about your character to impress us? *
Every tank character mentioned above is used for a purpose. I also feel that I'm able to play any of the tanks to a high level. As such, I'm confident to re-roll between tiers, and even during progress if demanded/required. With this approach, I have been able to put all my characters to good use each expansion. This also comes with being able to predict / prepare which tanks will do well for progress, or any encounter in particular. I tend to make a decision on which character to use based on beta testing, discussions with the guild, co-tanks, community feedback, and theorycraft discussions/forums etc. This is important to me as there as almost always only 2 tanks in a raid, and 18 other players, it has to be done right.
A few examples of putting my characters to good use:
Death Knight: Mass grip for Xhul'horac adds. Mass grip for Mannoroth adds, AMS+Rune Tap for the tank double glaive-combo during Hellfire Citadel.
For Xhul'horac, Purgatory also served me well as the boss was killed while I was the last player alive. Skip to the end of the video below to see this. A mini-Riggnaros-like moment if you will (When Riggnaros/Blood Legion killed Elegon).

We finished the last tier of the expansion at world 45, and I played well at a personal level. So overall I enjoyed playing the DK, but since then the Death Knight has changed a lot. During the Legion beta testing I found myself leaning more towards Druid, Paladin and Warrior. So the Death Knight is somewhat of a 4th toon for now, still viable, but less preferred by me at the moment.
Finally, from my very early days playing DK I enjoyed playing with Raegwyn in community events such as 25 DKs vs...
25 DKs vs Heart of Fear - youtu.be/7iVz2eZJjsg?t=4m2s
(I'm the 2nd DK in group 1)
Warrior: Although transcendence could be used by Brewmasters monks, I decided to swap to Protection Warrior and make good use of Heroic Leap for Imperator Mar'goks' "Mark of Choas". I also felt Warriors would be better than monks for very early progression in Highmaul.

Disclaimer: I am only posting these screenshots to help demonstrate that I can play well under pressure, especially for a 1st kill. Although I enjoy the role of tanking/mitigation and the responsibility of the tank role more than anything, I also understand that often tank damage, and even healer damage can be significant. I'm also aware that not all guilds post logs publicly, however I was in real-id discussion with Ryanwarr at the time, and he was often performing at a similar level, (although he did brag to be doing 1k dps more than me, bless him). So given the fact that I had never progressed on a Prot Warrior before, I think that is somewhat impressive to be world 65 guild, and rank 1 in the logs for the last boss.
Monk: I have not played my monk in a very long time, however I did enjoying playing the class. I re-rolled to monk during SoO from Death Knight. This was to kite the adds on Garrosh. I was able to do it towards the end of the tier without any problems.

I also managed to beat Fragnance and Kloster for realm best challenge mode on my monk during MoP. Granted they went on to set world record times, but I still enjoyed doing it.
Scarlet Halls Realm best challenge mode - www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4S-KkqnCh0
Paladin: Since the Hellfire Citadel farm was so long, I actually had the opportunity to play on my paladin from time to time during farm, (first time since I first started playing the game). I started playing WoW just before Blackwing Decent/Bastion of Twilight/Firelands etc. Even back then I was playing other tanks as well as my paladin at a casual level, but I have always been keen to see how the Paladin plays out during progression raiding.
Thankfully this expansion allowed me the opportunity to play Protection Paladin for the 1st time during progression, and I loved it. The main reason for me playing Paladin this 1st tier was down to how they played out on the beta testing, and how I could potentially use the paladin toolkit in raids. I really enjoy how the class performed in terms of both mitigation and damage, and a plethora of raid utility (BoP, Spellwarding, Sac etc), which was only further strengthened by Legendaries, allowing prot pala to do even more.
For example:
Nythendra - Spellwarding a melee dps, allowing them to stay close to the boss without being hurt from insects.
Renferal - Can bubble and solo soak the pushback from the boss without the raid having to share damage.
Il'gynoth - Able to use Spellwarding combined with the legendary wrists to soak up to x4 beams from the tank add, for example: 1= mitigation, 2= mitigation+AD, 3+4=Spellwarding
Ursoc - BoP/Bubble the tank rend debuff away in the final enrage phase.
Dragons - Able to contribute significantly to dps on the pull while dragsons are together for 2-3 stacks, push damage with seraphim, wings, pots, trinkets etc...
Cenarius - Able to solo the boss with good use of Spellwarding, (Blizzard now reverted change made so immunities also work on spear of nightmares now also)
Xavius - Able to Sac co-tank to allow more stacks before them dying to the dream. Can also Spellwarding self, or co-tank as needed etc to immune boss stack. Bubble away the increased damage taken after dispelled by healer.
While druids might feel more "tanky", the things mentioned above to go show how versatile the paladin really is at the moment, and how I was able to make good use of the class overall this tier. It benefited us greatly in progression this tier, and I can also see how prot paladin will potentially scale very well in later tiers this expansion.
Since our guild won't allow logs to be public at this time, I will post some screenshots to help give an understanding of my level of performance first time progressing as a paladin.

Prior to the Legion expansion release, I was strongly considering to play my Warrior again, but my co-tank desperately wanted to re-roll from brewmaster to warrior, and in the end I opted for Paladin over Druid. While double warrior may have been viable (like the Russians did) It seems like other top guilds this tier saw similar potential in the protection paladin. Serenity (Slootbag), FatSharkYes (Lazel), ScrubBusters (Astur), Limit (Max), Prime (Rx), Easy (x2 paladins), NollTvåTre (Farsigt), and Honestly (Blueprint).
Note: I'm not 100% what the tank situation is like at Prime at the moment, but I would also like to continue playing my paladin. At the same time, I understand if Rx wants to also play paladin and you guys would prefer another tank class. This would mean either my warrior, druid or DK depending on what you prefer. I would need to improve one of those toons to be a main, as currently my paladin is on 32 artifact points, and my others toons are well below that.

G. Do you actively play all your off-specs and do you have any experience playing them? What about your alts? *
I have to be honest, I am a tank through and through. I am applying as a tank, whether that is for Main-Tank, Off-Tank, 3rd-Tank, Raid-Tank, Dungeon-Tank, bench-Tank etc.. (Hopefully not bench) While I'm not against the idea of playing dps or healer (both roles I feel I would do well at), the opportunity aside from dungeons on a super rare off-chance has never presented itself in that way. The last time I actually played DPS was in Cataclysm when I first started playing the game years ago. Like I say, I'm not against the idea, I just feel that I would not enjoy it the same way I enjoy the role of tanking.
H. Alts? * (We run atleast 4 split raids)
I have 4 tanks at 110 currently, I will level the other 2 tanks soon. So that's 6 toons and all the tank leveled before Night Hold. I can also level more toons as required for progress. If you would prefer x2 of the same tank for example.
I. Any raiding experience on these? *
As mentioned above, I have raided on these toons, with the exception of Demon Hunter.
DK - Cata, MoP, WoD, Legion (Progression and Split raids)
DH - (Beta testing experience)
Druid - WoD, Legion (Split raids only)
Padalin - WoD, Legion (Progression and Split raids)
Monk - MoP (Progression only)
Warrior - Cata, MoP, WoD, Legion (Progression and Split raids)
3) IN-GAME & PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
A. Playing times (Example: Sunday-Monday 17-24 [we raid 7 days a week during progress 17.00 - 1.00 (Flexible times) ]) *
I am a self-employed tradesman, running a small part-time business. I also live at our family home in the UK, (Parents live in Germany). Because of this I can afford to take time off, and spend as much time needed without financial concerns/worries etc since we already own the house (no rent). If I'm accepted as trial to Prime, I will commit to playing 7 days and nights during progress as needed. I am fully flexible and will organize and plan my time as needed.
B. Previous Guild(s) *
Holy Insanity (Casual guild)
Stark Industries (WoW/YouTube/Twitch community guild)
Perfect Circle EU (Casual guild)
Enraged Revolution (Semi-Hardcore guild)
C. Reason for leaving previous Guild(s) *
Holy Insanity - I was asked to start playing the game by an IRL friend, he was the co-GM of this alliance guild, I was instantly made an officer but soon became bored. I wanted to try playing on the Horde also, so I left.
Stark Industries - I helped form this guild with Ghost from Preachgaming, you may or may not know them? This guild started out as a community project to help non-raiders start raiding. In this guild I have been an officer, a Raid Leader, and eventually became the GM when Ghost (Original GM) took a break from the game. We raided 2, sometimes 3 nights very casually. Over time I became more ambitious and decided to look for another guild during Throne of Thunder.
Perfect Circle EU - This was the 1st guild I ever applied to. I was accepted, passed trial, and was soon promoted to officer after that, and by the end of SoO I was raid leading alongside the GM at the time. At the release of Diablo 3, my co-tank, and brother to the GM decided to stop playing, as did many others. The guild stagnated considerably and I was left doing most things, including trying to motivate people to show up for raids (which is a real pain). Prior to the Highmaul release, my previous co-tank came back with many other social members into the raid with a very slack attitude which I was not happy about.
To back track a little, during Throne of Thunder I was approached by an Enraged Revolution officer who said they wanted me to come tank for them. At the time I declined their offer, a missed opportunity in hindsight. Not happy with how Perfect Circle EU was going I decided to talk with the officer at ER again over Skype and was given a trial in Enraged Revolution for progress. At this time Enraged Revolution was not happy with the tank situation, so I almost immediately replaced the other tank.
Enraged Revolution - This was my 1st real progression guild, and I've loved everything about it, (until recently). Fun and friendly atmosphere, decent progression for only raiding 5 nights a week. World 65 Imperator Mar'gok, 90 Blackhand, 45 Archimonde. The ranks mentioned are only relative to what happened during progression. During Highmaul we did well, we were prepared from beta testing, the guild was organized, we used our time well. In BRF we lost a few key players to better guilds, and some had to stop raiding due to IRL, essentially we reformed and had some roster turnover. In Hellfire we got the roster sorted, everyone was able to play, and we did additional/optional raids on fridays for the early progress bosses. This earned us world rank 45. While we were pleased with this result, not everything was good news. This is largely due to the roster changes that happened after progression.
Due to IRL, or quitting the game the following proceeded to happen:
- We lost our GM/Raid leader
- We lost our melee officer
- We lost x2 important healers
- We lost our other tank
- We lost x2 important ranged dps.
All of these players were essential to the success of our progress, and atmosphere in HFC.
Those that remained through the farm, wern't sure if we could even raid in Legion properly. We managed to recruit some potential players for farm during HFC and barely held the guild together. When it actually came to progress in Legion, the new recruits did not perform well during progress, were woefully unprepared, couldn't play alts, and we lost a lost of time and ranks because of this. Personally I spent close to 3 million gold during mythic mode runs, preparing before and during progress, buying enchants, craftables, potions, consumables. Everything I could have possibly done, and it turned out others were late to the raid, couldn't commit to farming materials, didn't have gold/didnt spend gold, and didnt have the same aptitude or approach towards progression. Really disappointing and unexpected, but that's what it boiled down to. As a result our current raid leader has quit, we lost another healer, and x3 dps. We are down to 19 raiders, and 3 trials (which I managed to pick up from another guild). While I've put my all into this expansion so far, and tried to be resourceful through recruiting new players, I feel as if it has been in vain.
It feels like those playing a lot are frustrated like myself, and those who are not playing so much don't care/mind either way.
As a result of all this, I too have left the guild today.
To be more specific, I took the time to create a spreadsheet (I like spreadsheets) to help determine which players are most prepared for progress. If you read the 1st tab, things should make sense. As you can see from the "Pre-Trial of Valor" tab, many people are just not prepared relative to the to others in the guild. I hope this helps shed some light on the situation/my departure from Enraged Revolution.

D. Previous PVE-experience (Vanilla-TBC-WotLK-Cataclysm-MoP) *
Cata - All instances cleared on Normal, most Heroic bosses also.
MoP - All instances cleared on Heroic. (Some MoP beta testing done)
WoD - All instances cleared on Mythic. World Top 70 Highmaul > World Top 50 Hellfire Citadel (All WoD beta testing done)
Legion - 1st instance cleared on Mythic. (All Legion beta testing done, except Trial of Valor)
E. Describe your role in raids, as well as a possible extraordinary role on some encounters *
My role in raids has typically been like this:
- Usually I am one of the 1st in the raid group. I will assign a marker to the tanks and wait 1-2min for people to fill the raid.
- I start combat logs and /readycheck to pull trash asap, before raid time. I check to see if 1-2 healers, and some dps are ready to do this with me.
- Every pull I announce "ready check" do a /readycheck , and followed by saying "15", the proceed to /pull15 when we are good to go on the boss.
- During the encounter I am vocal when it's needed. I will call taunt swaps, ask how my co-tank is doing, does he need sac etc, i will call for external healer cooldowns, or mis-directs, or dispels when i need them, although im not the raid leader, I will often communicate when to soak a mechanic such as on Il'gynnoth, or move to a certain place if the raid leader doesn't otherwise say so.
- I take the role of Main Tank seriously, and I enjoy the responsibility it brings.
- During encounters I will check on dps to see if things are positioned correctly, and I will ask if I'm not sure.
- I do exactly as I'm told by the raid leader. Simple example: "Stop DPS", then I stop DPS.
- Aside from this I will respond to questions where appropriate, or be as quiet as possible during encounters, especially during progression.
- I then do the same on every boss until progress is done, and the same on farm. I do not like to skip farm.
I hope I answered this question properly, but this has generally my "role" in raids.
F. Explain your talent/gearing/stat/ priority choices for us *
While I enjoy working out what works best, I'm by no means a theorycrafter to this game. I will change talents based on the content im doing, dungeons, or raids for example, and I will asses based on mechanics, or performance which talents to use.
I am always checking Warcraft logs, typically looking to find what other top tanks are doing, which talents and trinkets they are using, and how they gem, and enchant etc...
So since there is so much information out there, and so many opinions on tanks, for stat weights there are three key ways that I decide a gearing strategy.
Stats
1. I check the tank discord, and other forums for Pawn weights and discussion. (not always accurate/agreeable)
2. I do my own sims based on a release build that is generally agreed to be working as intended.
3. I assess the gear available to me through the dungeon journal, set items, and whatever else I can use from mythic +
My thought process is like this:
For example, versatility might be an excellent stat for prot paladin, but will i be able to get much of it? maybe less than 1%? Will it be meaningful? Or should I focus more on another stat and get versatility where it wont cost me haste? will mastery be more easily obtained? if i have too much mastery will i reach an oversight, or a point of diminishing returns for block, especially when I might parry or dodge an attack instead? Will the value of crit become better because of this?
and so on,
With these things in mind, and combining results from simcraft for Protection Paladin I personally went with these stat priorities for progression. I still keep an open mind about stats, since sometimes you can play a little more defense, and sometimes offensive as a tank. In general I tend to focus heavily on just 1-2 stats, but tanks still want at least a little bit of everything to be well balanced.
Here what I currently use for progress and early farm: (my current stats)
1. Armor
2. Haste
3. Mastery = Vers
4. Strength = Stamina
5. Crit
Here is what I would do if I wanted to parse:
1. Strength
2. Crit
3. Haste
4. Mastery
5. Vers
(Could also run a sim, and import the Pawn string to ensure the best gear possible for dps for example)
Talents;
Since 7.1 I typically run
1. Blessed Hammer - 15% dmg red. on auto attack. Use on all bosses and dungeons, with the exception of Holy Shield on encounter specific. (Cenarius)
2. First Avenger - 50% more Avenger's Shield dmg on priority target, additional 10% Grand Crusader chance. (reset on AS) = more dmg/small absorb
3. Blinding Light - Although I don't have the legendary, i believe it can be use to proc 15% haste. Somewhat useful dungeon talent.
4. Blessing of Spellwarding - Magic immunity, extended by legendary. Unless I use BoP on Ursoc, or need an extra pony to get around I stick with this talent. Love it.
5. Hand of the Protector - heals for 30% of missing health + hot with artifact point. I use it a lot, its off the GCD, but I hate this spell by design. Can be used on other people.
6. Consecrated Ground - heals 6 player within consecration, more potent choice for tank, can be used as a snare/slow for mobs.
7. Seraphim - use on the pull, with every 2min CD, and on cooldown if possible (When dont need Shield of the Righteous). On progress however I did use Last Defender a lot more. I also opted for using Last Defender for +14 mythic dungeon last week, quite big pulls, and better to have Shield of the Righteous uptime.
Trinkets
I used a few different trinkets for progress this tier. Currently I use Memento of Angerboda/Chrono Shard.
Trinkets I like (Not in order)
1. Darkmoon Deck: Immortality
- Strength with perma armor uptime, very solid tank trinket
2. Horn of Valor
- Versatility with on-use (2min) strength
3. Goblet of Nightmarish Ichor
- Strength with versatility proc when taking damage.
4. Infernal Alchemist Stone
- Versatility with huge strength proc
5. Eye of Command
- Strength with stacking crit
6. Nature's Call
- Stat stick with random proc
7. Unstable Arcanocrystal
- Huge stat stick from the world boss
8. Ettin Fingernail
- Strength with stat stick
9. Grotesque Statuette
- Mastery with damage reduction
10. Impenetrable Nerubian Husk
- Haste with armor proc
For example, I might aim to use trinket 9 and 10, against a boss like Ursoc, if the dps check can be met easily and tanks need to survive (High Single target tank damage).
I might aim to use a more on demand damage trinket like Horn of Valor if there is an add, or a phase to push where tank damage helps significantly. (1-phasing Il'gynoth)
It really feels this expansion that Blizzard has made a good variety of trinkets which I like. I hope there will be more interesting ones to come, since I will likely collect them all and use them at different points.
G. Link us your WARCRAFT logs to show your performance raid wise (If not you will most likely be rejected)*
I fully understand the importance of this question, however Enraged Revolution has a no public logs available yet for this tier, as such I'm a bit empty handed.
However I do have older logs which I can re-link here from HFC.
I hope this helps to show/indicate what kind of player I am.

I hope that there can be some understanding here, and won't be rejected for trial on this basis alone.
H. What kind of attendance can you sustain in our raids? (Feel free to link DKP or other sources showing stability)
100% attendance, I have basically tanked everything from beta, to split raids, to progression, to farm. When I'm not doing that I'm doing dungeons, or helping in some other way. I will always be available for the time we plan and organize, if not, then I will always make it known well in advance.

Keybinds:
1,2,3,4, Q, E, s1, s2, s3, s4, sQ, sE = main spells
F1, F2, F3, sF, sR, T, ` = Major Cooldowns
Tab, F, G, H, sMouseUP, sMouseDOWN, m5, m4, F5, F6, F7, F9, Y = Utility
I use mouseover macros for things like BoP, I keybind all of my spells, I never click anything besides food, flask, runes and drums.
J. What addons do you have set up to enhance your performance? Do you use WeakAuras (or likewise addons)?
1. Elvui
2. WeakAuras
3. Angry Assignments
4. BigWigs / DBM
5. Exorsus Raid Tools
6. Details
7. Death Note
8. TellMeWhen
9. Tidy Plates: ThreatPlates
K. We take BETA testing seriously, do you have any issue being raid ready on BETA for raiding content? *
I actually love beta testing, in the sense that strategy can be worked out, different things can be tested, raid compositions can be looked at, it's new content that's always nice, but making good use of beta testing really helps to give a sense of new progression, I find it helps to get everyone on the same page going forwards if that makes sense. Only think I don't like about beta testing is when people complain or don't want to show up, because they cba to put in the effort or dont have timers, or some excuse etc.
L. Did you test any BETA in the past? Give us some information about it *
I have done all beta testing as far back as i can remember. I think as far back as Terrace of Endless Spring was the 1st beta testing I started doing. The only one I've missed since then was actually the most recent one with Trial of Valor. Enraged Revolution was still progressing on Cenarius while the beta was going on.
4) COMPUTER AND INTERNET INFORMATION

C. Do you have issues with D/C due to internet or computer problems? *
Nope.
D. Do you have a microphone and are you able to communicate on Teamspeak 3.0?
I have a microphone, I use push-to-talk, and im able to communicate on Teamspeak 3.0
5) MOTIVATION
A. Why do you want to join Prime? *
Firstly, I'm looking for a competitive progression guild to raid with, from today onwards. I'm not the type to jump ship easily, or try join another guild because they are doing better currently. However my situation leaves me little to no choice, since most of the talented/dedicated players have left Enraged Revolution already, and I don't feel the current state of ER is best suited for my interests towards the game.
Secondly, I respect the climb and dedication towards joining a more successful and competitive raiding guild such as Prime. Over time I have gone from a 3 night-a-week guild, to a 4 night guild, to a 5 night guild, always improving and learning as I went along. My raiding career speaks for itself. I've started at the bottom and gradually worked my way up over a few years. When a rare opportunity such as joining Prime presents itself to me then I'll gladly take that opportunity.
Thirdly, I've often found that in order to become better player, I've had to surround myself with better players, from better guilds. Joining Prime is not only a potential next step forwards in my raiding career, but also a chance to grow beyond my current potential as a player. I feel I would learn a lot from the talented players at Prime, and would do well under the strong and effective leadership at Prime. I look forwards to this.
To meet the demands and expectations of Prime will require hard work, and a lot of dedication, I'm aware of that. But WoW is my hobby, my passion, therefore I can also see how that hard work will pay off. I look forwards to that sense of personal improvement as a player, and becoming an outstanding addition to the Prime roster. I feel that I could fit in well, and will aim to meet all the goals and expectations within Prime.
B. Why should we pick you? *
Without a doubt, Prime will be a step up for me in terms of commitment, challenge, time invested, and ability to adapt toward a more hardcore raid environment, but at the same time I feel that this is a step in the right direction for both myself and for Prime. Picking me for trial as a tank means that you will be bringing on a player that is willing and is fully committed to playing at the forefront of hardcore progression. I will be readily available and prepared for all progress through-out the expansion. By giving me a trial I am committing to play at my best, to honor the standards outlined by the guild, to be flexible toward progression in terms of classes played, and guild demands/needs. I am also committing to continue to not only give my best effort, but also my best attitude, and willingness to improve as a player so that the guild can continue to maintain its success with a hardcore competitive edge.
C. What are you goals besides character development in World of Warcraft*
Good question,
Well at the moment the main priority boils down to joining a well established hardcore raiding guild like Prime.
I hope to make long term friendships within Prime, and to be a good team mate.
I also hope to maintain friendships with those in Enraged Revolution, and other guilds.
I would like to boost Mythic plus, and raids in order to reach the 10 million gold cap.
Making tanking guides, in the format of monthly YouTube videos has crossed my mind a few times.
D. Is there anything you would like to add?
I would just like to thank Business and everyone taking the time for reading this apply.
E. Is there anyone in Prime or another guild who can possibly vouch for you?
Unfortunately no.
The only person that comes close to something like this, is from Ryanwarr during Warlords of Draenor. I actually don't know him too personally, but I've done a few viewer raids with him, Fragnance, Viklund and so on. We have each other on real-id, some tank talk here and there, but that's about it. We also farmed the Garrosh shoulders for a while. Although he can't vouch for me directly he is somebody that I'm sure Business knows well, and I'm sure Ryann has good opinion of me? Hope that helps if even a little? Only other people that could vouch for me are from Enraged Revolution, if you know anyone there then you would be best to ask them.
F. How did you hear about us?
Who hasn't heard of Prime eh? I distinctly remember seeing #PrimeRising being spammed a lot on the beta! hehe
Notable places online would be WoWProgress, Warcraft logs, YouTube etc...

Legion Pre-Patch logs - www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/9709604/8/#partition=2

Garrosh Hellscream kite show - youtu.be/k-mEe2wgxm8?t=6m22s

Talents;

6. Details
7. Death Note
8. TellMeWhen
